Mr. Jones, Efficient Mr. Jones, the administrative assistant principal, has a variety of responsibilities, some of which are curriculum planning, teacher appraisal, supplies, lockers and textbooks. Mr. Jones says he enjoys his new position this year because he gets an over-all view of the student body. When Mr. Jones can find time to spare from his daily duties, he enjoys reading and fishing. He is also a member of the Cincinnati Schoohnasters Bowling League. Mr. Stillwell, Experienced A new addition to the competent leadership of the Hughes edministration is Mr. Stillweli, assistant principal of the Juhior high. Before coming to Hughes, he Was assistant principal at Cutler Junior High School. In his first year here, he has gained the respect of students and teachers alike. Mr. StillwelPs hobby is traveling. Last summer, he traVeIed to Quebec. Canada, the New York World's Fair, and parts of New England. His main enjoyment is working with junior high students. 15 Mr. Hobson, Energetic Mr. Hobson, senior high assistant principal, is one of the busiest persons around Hughes. He laughingly admits that his job consists of iia little bit of everything! Primarily, he deals with the senior high school-enrollment, attendance, activities, and the senior class. He is usually the flrst person that newly-enrolied pupils meet, and he gives a final approval on fulfilling obligations before seniors receive diplomas. Mr. Hohson has been associated with Hughes for many years.

Mr. Edwin Sutton, JL, principal, led Hughes through a most successful ,65. ' The words that best describe Mr. Sutton are dpdicated, competent, friendly, and dignified. He is a source of inspiration and guidance for his co-operative faculty, as well as for the Hughes students. Mr. Sutton,s family consists of his wife and two children, a son attending Walnut Hills and a daughter attending Withrow. As a very busy administrator, he finds little time to pursug hi5 hobbies of golf, howling ahd swimming. The key to Mr. Suttmfs success is his in- terest in students, his desire for achieve- ment, and his willingness to devote time and effort to a worthwhile cause. The counseling staff helps Hughes students with their emotional, financial, academic, anti social problems. Many students Cherish the helpful advice given them by senior high and junior high counselors. No other school is served by a more dedicated staff of ad- visers. They make deserving students aware of scholarship help that is avail- able. The time counselors spend after schooi is inestimable.
