35$; Students entering the senior high counselorsi oliices find the J i 6 l cheerful faces of Mrs. Frehse, Mr. Loudenslager, and Mr. Greene. Enlarged Coumelz'ng Staff Ojfem Beneficial Guidance Three new counselors came to Hughes this year. All have had experience as teachers, and all possess master degrees from various universities.- Mr. Bauman, seventh grade counselor, formerly taught at Wilson Junior High School, Hamilton, Ohio. Mrs. Knisley moved from Deer Park High School to work with eighth graders here. Many senior high students row ceive guidance from Mr. Greene, who had teaching ex- perience in Ft. Lauderdale before coming to Hughes. Completing the busy staff are Mr. Acree, with ninth graders, and Mrs. Frehse and Mr. Loudenslager, who work with seniors and part of the tenth and eleventh grades. Educational guidance is an important part of counseling. Sched- uling programs for about 1,400 students is done by Mr. ,Acree, Mr. Bauman, and Mrs. Knisley, in cooperation with homeroom teachers.

Mr. Hobyon, Mr. lone: Supewixe All Student Activitzlar Congratulations to Mr. Richard Hobson for his firm and friendly direction of 1:471 tenth, eleventh, and twelfth graders. Dedicated to the task of helping stu- dents, Mr. Hobson is assistant senior high principal and principal of Hughes Eve- ning High School. So many hours are spent in carrying out all his duties that little time is lef t to pursue his hobbies of music, reading, and carpentry. His talent for gettings things done is known and appreciated by everybody at Hughes. Mr. Dale Jones has capably taken over the reins of junior high principal. He came to Hughes this year from Central, where he functioned as assistant principal, after having taught technical and food chemistry. An active community leader, Mr. Jones is membership chairman of the School- masters Club of Greater Cincinnati. He serves as a. church-school superintendent and for several successive summers has worked at Proctor and Gamble as a chemist. Mr. Dale W.
