Photographer Harry Skiill lets nothing stop him, even a broken arm! After the school year began, the Annual statl' met every clay sixth period. Scheduling and cropping pictures, and writing copy, headlines, and captions were the main jobs of the editorial staff. Under adviser Clyde Hall, Business Managers Glenn Hauser and John Yeager, collected money from the Annual Representatives. Miss Adorneit, Art Editor Ray Ertel, and their staff made posters to en- courage subscribers and drew pictures for the Annual. Soon the deadlines drew near, and the stall fretted with various jobs, hoping to complete them in time. The business staff secured Hadsu, while the editorial stafl' proofread copy and the art staff made last-minute changes. During the sunimer months Miss Leola Reynolds, Miss Frances Adomeit, Advisers, and Diane Deiters, Bill Wandmacher, Co-editors, constructed a sketch of each section. supplying' magazine pictures where actual Annual pictures would be placed. Kliss Reynolds and the editors then went to Nashville, Tennessee, to construct a final layout ol the book. Advisers for the yearbook are: Miss Leola Reynolds, editorial: Mr. Clyde Hall, businessg and Miss Frances Ado- meit, art.

Hughes High School has one of the finest school libraries in Cin- cinnati. Upon entering the library, one notices the beautiful stained- glass windows. and while browsing around the library. he discovers a wide selection of volumes. Bliss Pennington and M1's, blason. the librarians. Catalogue books and order and choose suitable books for school and recreational reading. They also help students with reference work for terin pa- pers and themes. For tht- last three years. junior high students with high scholastic averages have been honored bv invitations to join Hughes chapter of the National Junior High Honor Society. Miss Jessie Hollweek helps the officers.
