Gargoyle Informs Pupils of Weekl ccurrences wa. Nancy Tobergta, Vickie W'ith- ers. and lNIary Jane Rietnian keep business accounts for the school paper. H a r r y Skiff, photographer, and Diane Deiteis, proofread- er, refer to a past edition. The Gargoyle has traditionally main- tained high standards for 33 years. It has consistently received honor ratings from high school press associations. ln 1941-4, 1952, and 1957 it achieved a Medalist rat- ing from the Coluinbia Scholastic Press Association. For the last two years the Gargoyle has earned a first-class rating lroin Coluinhia. The National Scholastic Press Association rated the Gargoyle GAll American in 19414, and the Advertisers Cluh of Cincinnati voted it the Best High School Newspaper in Greater Cincinnati in 1950. Journalism develops excellence in writ- ing. College-hound students find Gargoyle work a hclp in future years. Wettkly dead- lines challenge stall menibers. They use their creative imagination when they write articles and lay out pages. Gargoyle work- ers have found their experiences on the newspaper staff rewarding.
