Health, Driver Education Teach Habits and Skills Health is a requirement in the tenth and tweltth grades. First aid instruction in emergency assistance leads the stu- dents to a Red Cross Certiticate, This course is planned to improve personal hygiene and increase satety. This is an es- sential course in helping to prepare students tor their tuture homes. Driver education is talcen tor one semester in the sopho- more year. The students are instructed in proper driving techniques, satety rules, mechanics ot the car, and its proper care. When a student, usually a iunior or a senior, acquires a temporary driver's license, he is eligible to talqe drivers! training. l-lere he experiences actual behind-the-wheel driv- ing, This later leads to a driver's license awd a reduced in- surance rate. It is the hope ot the teachers that the students will be prepared tor a better tuture in health and drivers education.
