Mr. Ben Fulks, Assistant Principal, is a friend of all Hughes students. He is sponsor of Hughes Club, super- visor of the Book Shop, Where school supplies are sold, in charge of lunchline guards, and director of money col- lections. He also finds time to take care of the Visual Aid program, student lockers and textbooks, and ushers. Yet, busy as he is, he is always ready to help those in need of advice. No one who passes through Hughes High School can fail to appreciate the warmth and friend- liness Mr. Fulks has for every sincere and well-meaning student. MR. BEN F. FULKS Assistant Principal Miss Margaret Hall, Dean of Girls, helps solve the personal, educational and vocational problems of all Senior High girls. Her soft-spoken, understanding advice is fast becoming a legend at Hughes. Through her, schol- arships are obtained by worthy studentsg through her, daughters and parents are given a more acute aware- ness of the purpose of the school and its place in their lives. From the routine of tardiness and absence excuses, to the vitally important plans for college or work, from early morning to late afternoon, Miss Hall devotes her full time to guiding her girls through the maze that is adolescence.
