At about the same time all over the world men were experimenting with flight, Hughes High School came into exist- ence at the middle of the nineteenth century Since then the spirit of education which Hughes typifies has become La dominant force in our present day civilization The miracle of the airplane belongs to this same period, mechanical flying has been accepted as a necessary means ofitransp .ii- .c n As avia- tion has grown out of th reams o Daedalus, so education has devel ed from ,.
