Being involved In music was Craig's chief interest at Huffman He was a member of the Symphonic and Marching Band for three years, the Stage Band for two years, and participated In numerous honor bands, including the All-State Band. In addition to instrumental music, his interest expanded into Choral, where he was a member of Mixed Ensemble and Concert Choir. As a result of his vast musical talent, he was chosen to take part In the Alabama Choir Explosion Ensemble. a great honor for a choir member in Alabama. Besides music, Craig was deeply involved in other activities. He was a member of the Latin Club, the Latin National Honor Society, the Senior Spirit Committee, the Academic Team. F.B.L.A. and Mu Alpha Theta. Craig’s future plans include the pursuit of a Ph D. In Clinical Psychology, a subject that holds much interest for him. He was fortunate to have had a chance to be a volunteer at Hlllcrest Hospital where he gained a greater Interest in and received more exposure to the field of Psychology Craig hopes all students are able to look back as Seniors at their past years at Huffman High School and know they have gained much from the teachers and friends they have acquired, that the friendships developed will be cherished forever, and the memories of high school will be kept close to their hearts. CRAIG SUMMERS An active student at Huffman. Meridith participated in a variety of clubs and activities. She was a member of the Math Team for three years, a member of Mu Alpha Theta and of F.B.L.A She was In the National Honor Society, The French National Honor' Society, and was treasurer of the French Club. She was also an active member of Senior Agape, and Junior Agape of which she was Treasurer. Very involved in the S.G.A Cabinet, she was happy to serve as treasurer of the Student Government Association. Her fellow classmates voted her Most Likely To Succeed. Meridith’s interests include music and sports. She especially likes piano. While in the Choral Department she was a member of Girls' Ensemble and Concert Choir. For three years she was a member of the Valorettes. a group she especially enjoyed. Meridith was also interested in spectator sports, mainly football and baseball. During Meridith’s four years at Huffman, she found Valorettes and Choir important influences in her life. Both organizations taught her discipline and cooperation with others. Meridith's future is something she really looks forward to. She plans to enter the field of Medical Research Pharmacy seems the most appealing to her. Meridith feels all students should get involved in clubs and activities because that is where they meet other students who share the same interests. She says the friendships she developed in high school are special; these friendships will be kept close to her and she has a million terrific memories of Huffman High School. 19 meridith McCracken
