Captured between these pages is what we hope are reflections of a year full of victories, along with defeats. But, if you measure the victories against the defeats, the victories overcome the agonies. The victories mount up enormously — the sports program which builds spirit in us all, the plays and concerts which give us a little bit of culture (whether we want it or not), the academic achievements . . . and the list goes on. Through it all, though, there remains one element — an unending and continuously struggling element — that of the students. Reflect for a moment on the pep rallies, the spirit programs, and any other student body activity. It is there: a feeling of oneness and togetherness, a joining of forces comparable to the binding of a book. For it is only through you that reflections of a year — gone — by can be made possible.
