CURRICULUM I 21 Drofting is a subject taken by the students who are talented and interested in architecture. This class is taught by Mr. John Hall. The study of formulos is an important part of Mr. Batson's solid geometry course. Bill Ginn and Rose Dosher are comparing the different ways to do a problem correctly. Bill's drawing helps him to solve and explain his problem more fully. College biology offers many fields to interested students. Here Terry Finch takes advantage of Waynetta Wilson's being afraid of insects. Each year Miss Clustie McTyeire requires her students to make a collection of various insects, labeling each division separately. ( 17 ]

CURRICULUM Not only does our boys' quartet have a sense of humor, but they also sing well. The quartet consists of Ronnie Shuff, Michael Redmond, Barry Huey, Richard Bolin, and Brenda Sue Waldrop, pianist. In Mrs. Teague's Business English class, she demonstrates different occasions that might possibly happen in an office and thus prepares the students for anything that may arrive in the business world ahead of them. Here Mrs. Teague, Donna Schmidlkofer, and Mary Houston demonstrate the use of the telephone. Shakespeare plays a large role in college preparatory English classes. Many aids such as the study books shown here are used to develop the appreciation of the classics. College English is one of the many classes which enable students to enter college well prepared. CURRICULUM The reoding classes ot Hueytown are taught to improve the student's reoding skill. As shown here, Mr. Vines uses films to help improve this skill. Our senior dramatics class has grown very rapidly in the few years we have had it. The first project of the class is to produce a Christmas play, and later the production of the senior play lies in their hands. Many enjoyable hours for the student body is produced by their efforts. Mrs. Helen Gillespie teaches various activities to those in the girls' physical education classes. The activities in which the students participate help develop both physical and mental health. Here Betty Hanson attempts a free shot. Homemaking students are taught the basic principles in home management, sewing and cooking The correct setting of a table is a very important achievement Here Ann Jones and Marguerite Lambert demonstrate how to set an attractive table. [ 18 ]
