SECOND ROW: Kim Davis, Karen Isaacs. THIRD ROW: Keri Stout, Alane Wood, Qavid Steel. FOURTH ROW: Brad Sawyer, Eric Halverson, Tom Hoel, Lori Sandell, Tim Johnson, Robert Maki. The band started off the year entertaining the spectators during football halftimes. Stepping in time to the rhy- thm of the H. H. S. band were the majorettes accompanied by the new flag girls. In the neighboring towns they pro- ceeded to prance down the main street representing Hud- son High School in a series of parades such as the Home- coming parade and the Shri- ner's parade. Throughout the year, the band and cheering fans created an atmosphere with such enthusiasm that the idea of losing was un- known. These organizations contributed much support to the success of the school spirit. 24 Band

A.V. Lends Helping Hand FIRST ROW- Wayne Eckblad, Val Klages, Maurice Manton, Jim Reams, Brad Sawyer, Buzz Mellum, Tom Youngberg, Paul Miller. SECOND ROW- Cindy Wor- rell, Sue Ahrens, Janelle Hardin, Mary Baurenfiend, Mark Stahnke, Scott Luch- singer, Dawn Derosier, John Blom, Dennis Miller, Steve Riemenschneider, Becky Scobey, Ann Moravec, Gerald Krier, Art Forester. Jerry reaches for film. Mark splices some movie film. The spectacular A. V. float. Brad and Vince deliver video tape. The A.V. Club was set up to assist teachers. The students involved were trained in running the var- ious equipment that the teachers used. The board members this year were Sue Ahrens, Paul Miller, Vince Rebholz, Wayne Ekblad, Steve Riemen- schneider, and Jerry Krier. The board faith- fully followed the advice of their new adviser, Mr. Forester. The Pit once again sponsored the annual Pit vs. Faculty football game (winning for the first time with a score of 34- 14); plus the A.V. Sock Hop. Along with these activities, the Pit spon- sored a football game be- tween the present club members and the A.V. alumni. The alumni were ousted when the score ended 12-6 favoring the Pit . A.V. 23
