We finally became settled in our studies. 17 The G. R. gave a . party for all the girls in high school. Mr. and Mrst ' Holmes were charivaried after the G. R. party--this being the second try. p 18 The Citizen bearing the first of the series of the Howard High School notes came today. 21 The Pirates defeated Eureka 25 to 21 at Eureka. A good start for football season! 27 A Red Letter day in the life of every student! Moline-Howard football game at Howard. Boring isn't it? 28 For once the Juniors and Seniors cooperated and threw a dilly of a party in the gym. 30 Rev. Fisher and family moved to Pittsburg today. Lucky break for Pittsburgl 51 Everybody celebrated after the Peru football game. Mostly because of Halloween '0l10USh. November 4 Willkie was elected President today in H- H. S. It's too bad some of the political fanatics in H. H. S eouldn't have helped Willkie do his campaigning. 7 The House of Repre- sentatives and Senate opened a Uhot and prolongedn session today. 8 Students of H. H. S. are really getting their fill of patriotism lately. Trios were organised to sing at the rural school and Mr. A. K. Rader gave an Amerieanism speech today in assembly. 15 Lois of students attended the American Royal at Kansas City. Wonderful thing--Agriculture! 14 Scrappy fought game with Sedan. What a wonderful feeling a victory gives onel 20 Quail Season opened. What is this-a girl's school?
