A. organization nas a special task to perform, a task that, if accom- plished, will be a contribution to the future of the world. This task includes the promotion of a growing appreciation of the joys and satisfaction of home- making, emphasis on the importance of worthy home membership, and encourage- ment of democracy in home and community life. The motto of Future Homemakers of America, NToward New Horizonsn, expresses the purpose of the organization--learning to live better today in order that their lives and those of their families may be better tomorrow. Ur ff s-3' 6, N 'ffm 3221-1- 'll 1' ,- - - 5.9-2 Q :- .Q The Future Farmers of America is the national organization of, by, and for boys studying vocational agricul- ture in public and secondary schools under the provisions of the National Vocational Education Acts. Among other things, members learn through active participation how to conduct and take part in public meeting, to speak in public, to buy and sell co- operatively, to solve their own problems to finance themselves, and to assume civic resgonsibility. The foundation of which the F.F.A. organization is built, includes leader- ship and character development, sports- manship, cooperation, service, thrift, scholarship. improved agriculture, organized recreation, citizenship and patriotism.
