IUHIOIS' UPPCI' C18SSfI16H at last' We were somebody now We took actrve parts tn all events We no longer scurrred down the halls wlth our eyes lowered and our tarls between our legs Because now we counted' He rergned as a freshman and agam Leroy Strausner became Class Presrdent Larry Marcott was V1ce Presrdent Barbara Llndsay Secretary and Ann Cook Treasurer Duane Watson was elected to Student Councrl Our Junror sock hop became the scene of an enormous weddrng you guessed rt artrfrcrall The Cat and the Canary our Jumor class play drrected by Mary Belle Skrnner drsplayed an array of talent both m crew and cast Because of lack of gxrls parts the play was double cast This led to double fun and a lrttle double trouble Soft ltghts sweet musrc and an orrental atmosphere created by paper lanterns bamboo drapes and a square summer house rn the center of the floor for the orchestra transformed the gym Lnto The Tea House of the August Moon our Junror prom theme These and red and black streamers and a beauttful mural behmd the throne parnted by Duane Watson and the memory of the Junror Semor Banquet wrll long be remembered by all of us Nelson Rrchard Nelson and Hrlan Jones Almlghty semors' Almrghty semorsl Vengeance was now ours' We took more out on the freshmen than the 55 senrors drd on us' For our frnal year we have selected Melvm Nelson Presrdent Leo Hammond VICE Presrdent Verna Turnell Secretary Norman Redland Treasurer and Carol Benson Student Councrl Our semor class play Bernard Shaw s Pygmalron under the dtrectron of Mrss Barbara Sukovskr In sprte of what s happened before now 15 what really matters Now we are LH the open dlsplaymg our talents and abrlrtres We re preparrng for Jobs careers further educatlon marrlage famrlxes Matter of fact some of us already have some of these!
