Diane lhonilinson, secretary, kept accurate minutes ol' the proceedings and Karolyn liackholm handled the finances. While Publicity lVlanager Bill Quigg enlightened the students concerning school events, Yell King Dale Nordell led the students through a year ol' pep and enthusiasm. i 'lihe Student Council strove to promote a closer relation- ship between the public and students by organizing various activities. With the community's help, the council placed trash disposal cans in areas for student use. The community witnessed the true spirit ol' the student body through other council functions which included a joint Hoquiam-Aberdeen Board of Control meeting, the hanging of a pep banner in downtown Hoquiam, the presenting of a plaque plus a lettermen's jacket to Olympic Stadium care- taker Tommy Marlow, and money-raising drives for footer buses. 23 f'
