Many teachers studied to improve educational skills during the summer preceding the opening of school in September. Members of SHOUT added their efforts to provide happy holidays for the children of Grays Harbor. As counselors, three faculty members-Dorothy Ladley, Kenneth Leach, and Peter Hegg-pro- vided hours of thoughtful advice to students concerning academic and personal problems. In addition to counseling, Mrs. Ladley advised AFS, FTA, and SHOUT, Mr. Leach supervised ac- tivities of the Honor Society: and Mr. Hegg coached golf. The faculty regretfully noted the retirement 'of John Rooney, mechanical drawing teacher, at the end of the year.
