F RO FIRST YEA R SECOND YEAR TIII RD YEA R FOURTH YEAR E lllll M PORTAL TO PORTAL We freshmen began our journey with high spirits, and a sense of adventure, but all too soon we encountered the difficulties of high school work. Nevertheless, we traveled the road without shirking, and at the end of our first year we had absorbed much knowledge, tasted the social life, engaged in athletics, and participated in sehol' arship, Although it was hard for us to realize it, we were great big sophomores, More than before, our abilities gained us recognition in every field of endeavor, especially in sports. And more than be- fore, we were conscious of society. Juniors! Just think, we're juniors! My how time did tly. We pre' sented a dandy performance of' Almost Summer, with much credit going to Mr. Nagel. Our boys starred in football, and performed brilliantly in basketball. Besides that, several of our masterminds did well in scholarship. Of course, the big social event was the JUIIIOI'-SQIIIOI' Prom held at Shady Hollow Country Club. We have reached the last leg of our journey now, and wist- fully we recollect the struggles and accomplishments of the tirst few miles. Not much concerned, however, are we with the past, for the atfairs of' the present keep us busily engaged. Our record has been good, and we are proud. Our class will be remembered chiefly for its superb athletes, but no less distinguished are those who have Worked diligently and consistently in music, scholarship, and the other activities which mold the man. May our record in life be as noteworthy. OFFICERS Pres., Ray Sumser V. Pres., Bill Liebtag Sec.-Treas., Barbara Gill Ilistorian, David Shaw SUMSER, GILL, SHAW, LIEBTAG 12
