Dear Seniors: Here we are at the end of our Senior year and what a grand time we have had! Do you remember how expectantly we looked forward to our four years in high school? There were ninety-two in our Freshman class. Four boys Went out for basketball, and five for football. Our first year in high school was climaxed by the Freshman-Sophomore party where we were all very thoroughly initiated. And then the Sophomore year--we did feel wise, didn't we?--at the Freshman-Sophomore party, perhaps it was because, at last, we were on the giving instead of the receiving end. The main event in the spring was the annual operetta in which our class was well represented. By the time we were Juniors our class enrollment had dwindled to eighty-four. The Junior play, The Saturday Evening Ghost, was pre- sented by the class after many trying hours of rehearsal. It was a grand play and We were proud of the Cast. This was the year that No-Ca-I-Ii won the Ohio State Championship in basketball. There were four boys in our class that went to Columbus, including one who gained the title of All-State Star. The class members sold everything from candy to pins and pencils to raise money for the Junior-Senior Banquet. It was held at Congress Lake Country Club and was the high light of the school year. Seniors at last! -and the largest class to graduate from North Canton High. A good many loyal Senior players helped to make our basketball and football teams a success. Following the lead of last year's graduating class, we presented a senior play, Moonshine and Honey- suckle. It afforded us a great deal of pleasure, and everyone who helped with this production should be congratulated. We all had a grand time at the Junior-Senior Banquet, May 23. Thank you, Juniors. To our faithful advisor, Mr. Swope, we extend our heart-felt thanks for all his help and kindness shown and we wish him many more champion athletic achievements in years to come. In our minds will always linger the memory of our friend and class- mate, Clark Holben, who was so suddenly taken from our midst. ' And so we bid our Senior year good-bye. Farewell, old friends, you've been wonderful. Sincerely, Betty june Johnston.
