Coached by Mr. Henderson and Mr. Crosby Distance men Richard Stone and Robert Talmadge emerged with first places at the Fourth Annual Indoor Track and Field Meet at Humboldt State Field House. J Stone, only a sophomore, took a first in the Frosh-Soph. Division 1320- yard run. He recorded a 3:24. 5 in time, setting a new meet record. Richard also got the Most Outstanding Performer award for his record-smashing run. Talmadge took first in the 660-yard run. Bob recored a time of 1:30. 8 in the Open Division. Other men to place in the Open Division were Ron Nelson - tied for 2nd in high jump, John McLeod, 3rd in pole vault, Mike Osier, 3rd in broad jump, Leonard McCovey, 5th in the 50-yard dash, Roger Houston, 5th in the 330- yard dash, and Nolan Hamilton, 4th in the 330-yard run in the Frosh-Soph.
