Legs were stretching, hearts were pumping, last minute shoelace tying took place, excited onlookers were already cheering... Ready! Set! Bang! And they were off! Homestead's teachers, sponsored by students, family, and friends, were the participants of our first Dawn on the Green Jog, Walk, Crawl-a-Lhon. There was a great turn out of students, families, and faculty talong with Mama Lyon's dog, and...uh...ahem!...a frogj. The day was packed with fun- lilled events such as tennis, ping pong, basketball, and of course, lunch, with good ol' Uncle Wolfie Hanisch behind the barbecue pit. Dawn is a program which was started last year, mainly to aid students with drug problems and family crises.
