Campbellj Jill Campbell, junior, prepares for one of her spectacular dives. Completing her breaststroke, senior Heather McCann finishes first in the meet against Saratoga. Fish Splash To Success The gun is raised. The crowd is ready for what they know will be a good race. The shot rings out and the race begins with a splash. When the race is over Homestead swimmers have taken first and second place. This is what Homestead s Swimming season was like. Varsity finished with a six and two reoord while junior varsity completed their season withafive and three record. Not only was it the strong individual swimmers such as Heather McCann and Courtney Thomas but also the team unity and high spirit that lasted throughout the season and into CCS. As expected and hoped Homestead did extremely well in the De finals. The varsity team placed first and the junior varsity team placed second. The team benefitted much from their outstand- ing divers. Jill Campbell lvarsityj took first place in both De Anza Athletic League and CCS. Victoria Davies took first place in the DAL s in the junior varsity division. Both led their team to a great sea- son. lt as an outstanding performance put on by all the swimmers and divers. Congratulations!
