Drama Club is one of ths most active clubs at Homestead. This year, they had guest speakers come and talk to the members about different ways that other countries produce plays, and they visited the American Conserva- tory Theater in San Francisco. The 5 biggest event of the year was going to Hollywood during Labor Day weekend to visit major movie studios and the popular Disneyland. Modern Dance is for girls who are interested in learning different tech- niques involving modern dances. It also gives them opportunities to devel- op the ability to create their own dances. The club performed many successful routines at the Mothers Tea held in the spring. They made up their own dances and some of the dance movements. To make Modern Dance more interesting and exciting, guest teachers attended their meet- ings and presented master lessons to the girls.

E -l-4 L.. Art Club was comprised of l students who showed an in- terest in art outside of art classes. They participated in school art activities and semi- nars involving discussions about each person's impres- sions and interpretations of work that the students saw, and they planned several field trips. Included were, visiting a commercial print Montalvo, art stu- shop, Villa dios and galleries. .E I A newly organized club on Home- stead's campus this year is Film Club. Their numerous activities included showing some experimental films and sponsoring two fun-filled evenings of the Rick Harper Film Show. Their major event during the year was to sponsor the Fremont Union High School District Film Festival that was held at Cupertino High School. The Film Club hopes that this idea of a district film festival will become an annual event.
