S NIGR CLASS HISTORY After many arguments we finally chose as our class colors, pastel pink and blue, class flower, carnationg and class motto, He Can Who Thinks He Can. After much time and consideration we chose our class play, Take Your Medicine. Because of a snow storm the play was called off, but on March 22, and 23, 1956, we presented a hilarious hospital scene which was an unforgettable sensation, under the direction of Mrs. Mary Hines. One of our happiest activities of the year was our Junior-Senior Banquet. Our theme was Hitch Your Wagon To a Star. We all thought it was a success, and all had fun even those who came sleepy- eyed to clean up the next day. On September 10, 1956, fourteen girls and boys entered our home room and were greeted by a real ball of fire, whom we have come to know as Mr. Arthur Kozlowski. We now considered ourselves the big wheels of the school. Our Senior year, with many activities, saw everyone working like robots. Our first money making project of the year was the basketball refreshment stand. In October we rodded over to Peck's Studio at Akron and had our pictures taken. We chose our Senior play, Finders Creepers, a hilarious mystery, love, and comedy. Under the successful direction of Mrs. Mary Hines we presented our unforgetable play, which was a real riot, on November 9, and 10, 1956. We started annual advertising and worked very diligently to sell many ads. We broke school records and cleared more money than any other class. Instead of chewing gum this year we discovered tooth picks. Marilyn Schempp was chosen varsity cheerleader for the fourth year. She now had a county record of being a cheerleader for eight years. At the time of this writing, the Senior class is looking forward to our class trip to Washington in March, Baccalureate on May 19, and our long dreamed of goal, Commencement on May 24. These events are our last dear and fond memories of time spent in school. During our first six years it was our privilege to be under the supervision of Superintendent M. A. Lenz. At his departure in 1951, the superintendency was taken over by Mr. David L. Brewer, who has seem us througm many trials and tribulations and it is under his supervision that he shall see us in our caps and gowns as we shall say farewell to Homer School. As we look back on our school experiences we must express our sincere thanks to the teachers who worked so diligently that we might be in the place we are today.
