Honors in scholastic standings, sports and school activities have marked the fresh men as a class well equipped to represent Holy Family High School. An armload of books and a studious spirit send the frosh along with their upperclass com- panions through H.F.'s hall toward a new classroom and a diHerent subject each period. The need for this constant reminder of God's presence and appeal for His aid is deeply impressed upon the mind of each student. Their seriousness is evidenced in this picture as the student body offers the rosary for the guidance of world leaders. Perhaps the most important class in the four years' program of Religion is the Apologetics course offered to seniois. Methods of proving the doctrines of faith received a timely applica- tion when the dogma of the Assumption was promulgated. Father Davie helps the seniors review some of the principal proofs for this dogma. Pantomine is the art of the hour for these Pub- lic Speaking enthusiasts. The Sodality of Qur Ladyi Exemplifying goodness, this spiritual organization of the school instills in the members a love of Our Lady, brought about by a love of Christ. The Sodality motto, 'i'l'o jesus through Maryf' gives us our sole aim as students in a Catholic High School. Cvuided by the program of the Sodality com' mittces, the members learn how to sanctify themselves and their neighbor by a constant review and application of the various rules. As a preparation for their apostolate in the world, the Sodality arms its sons and daughters with means of spreading and defending the Church. By a constant and everfincreasing practice of virtue, the Sodalists prepare themselves for parish activity and as loyal citizens. In times such as these, the Sodality has even more significance as the teacher of the citizens of tomorrow, instructing them to lead a virf tuous, useful Christian life. - - and longing to serve thee - - - Santa Claus brings some animated toys-Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs-to entertain the Sodalists. The program was presented by the Frosh probationers at a general meeting. Father Collins' monthly talk stimulates sober and serious thinking, as these faces indicate. By means of Father's conferences, the Sodality's spiritual program gains significance for the Sodalists. 3 ie- ?
