he Mock Trial is an important pro , 'Q' - gram which allows students the op- portunity to compete against each other using the fundementals of the law. The topic of this year's trail case was mur- derp the case was an accurate display of what goes on in an actual trial. The students involved prepared both a defense and a prosecution in order to present their views as best they could. Tim McWilliams and Chris Day served as attorneys while the rest of the starting team consisted of Lori McLaughlin, Mike Burkhardt, and Donna Maltese. Mr. Guida once again served as both supervisor and friend to the members. The members of the winning Mock Trial team are: fback I. to r.J Mr. Guida, Dawn Evanish, Jackie Lewis, Lori McLaughlin, Shelia Thomas, Stacy Ross, Donna Maltese, Carl Brasek, Lou Christou Cfront l. to r.J Greg Hart, Tim McWilliams, Don Stillwell Rob Bill- ings, Michael Burkhardt. l58 have ideas. They probably wonit 'revolutionize the world, or set it on fire, or be bound in a book that sells millions. The words, thoughts and feelings of every person are important. It does not matter if you are a suc- cessful writers, artist, or poetg your ideas are just as valuable. The year started with a Clothes Drive to aid the less fortunate in San Salva- dor - a big success because of its im- portance. We also held our annual Christmas Party for underprivileged children in which study halls raised money for their adopted children. Through these activities which have aided the community, we were able to fulfill the motto of our club which is based on - Hservice above self .
