Students in the Needlecraft Club are expected to complete annually at least two projects, one of which this year was the knitting of a hat. For those desiring added experience in artis- tic self-expression, there now exists two art clubs. Under guidance, students may perfect their skills in clay modeling, sculpture and painting. Upon completion of their different works, the club's moderator offers instructive criticism and prac- tical advice. Chosen works are also frequently displayed. The Debating Society has as its aim the pro- motion of logical consistency in reasoning. As part of the training, students have the benefit of inter-school debates. A noteworthy literary activity is the Poetry Club. This affords its members the occasion to read and to better understand the intricacies of poetry. The Declamation Club was organized to per- fect in its members the skills of self-expression. Delivery of speeches and improvisations are in- cluded in the program. MARY REINHART.
