SOPHOMORE STUDENT COUNCIL members - Milne Morrissey, Tom Guggino, Kevin Gamble, and Larry O'Toole. Page 56 Ofhciaf Conafifufion The Holy Cross Student Council has proven itself a competent organization for communica- tion between the administration and the student body. This year the Council followed the worthy traditions established by its predecessors while also introducing several new services. All regular school dances, including the annual junior Din- ner Dance and Senior Ball, were managed by the Student Council. In addition, the Council has been given the responsibility of introducing as- semblies and pep rallies. The outstanding achievement of the year was the formulation of a constitution governing the actions of the Student Council. Under the guid- ance of their moderator, the members drafted a set of by-laws for their own use and for that of their successorsg this achievement is a significant part of our school history. Following the rules of parliamentary pro- cedure, the Student Council members worked ef- fectively to present the views and suggestions of the students. The year was characterized by effi- cient organization: in outlining duties and re- sponsibilities, and in processing suggested ideas into practical action.
