They realize the increasing importance of their studies and are thus led to a fuller growth of character. Distinctive for third year students is the Driver Education course, now in its second year. Of special in- terest this year is the fact that ten outstanding juniors were selected to participate in the ad- vanced placement course in mathematics, newly initiated at Holy Cross. Moreover, as juniors, they now become eligi- ble for admission to such organizations as the National Honor Society and the National Busi- ness Honor Society. Also, due to greater repre- sentation, they have a more active participation in the Student Council. Eagerly do the girls anticipate the privilege of wearing maroon blazers and proudly do the juniors accept their class ringsg all await the greater responsibilities and honors of the senior year.
