1970 Baseball Team Ushers In Spring The spring of the year finds the 1970 H.H.S. Baseball team working out, getting in shape for a tough season on the diamond. Holton spectators again move outdoors, but now into the warming spring air to watch our players stepping up to the plate, tensely gripping the bat, to slam the ball beyond the outfielders and score more points for Holton. Brian Jackson, Cecil MacLaren, Joel Krus- zynski, Craig Rizley, Rex Carr, Mike Colwell, Dale Macy, and Pete Wyant are the Senior players. Ray Hendrickson, Roger Johnson, Jim Hekkema, represent the Junior class and Bruce Hager, Russ Shappee, Gary Boukamp, Dave Rauch, and Butch Sloan are from our Sophomore class. Mr. Maxwell coaches the team which worked hard for a final season record of 7 wins to 7 losses. Garv Boukamp is our leading hitter with a .407 average. Bruce Hager follows closely with a .333 average.
