The Student Council was an organization composed ol representatives from each class and organization. Under the leadership of President Dean Carlson, the council was very active. Other officers were: vice-president, Rod Peterson, secretary, Barbara Barnesg and treasurer, Ierry Morris, Miss Helen Boentje sponsored the group. In October, ten members of the Student Council attended the state convention in Hastings. Page 28 The main project ol the council this year was to buy a record player for the school. They supplied the Christmas decorations in the main hall and the annual Christmas film. ln addition, they sponsored the lyceum pro- grams, four all-school parties, locker inspection, and a new parking lot. Near the end ol the school year, an Hwards Day was held, when those who had done out- standing work in various fields were honored before the entire student body.
