Dale Englund, Barbara Butzin, and Kathy Collins were among the first to pick up their class rings from Mr. Chase. The junior year is always a busy one and this year was no exception. Schedules were crowded With studies and extra-curricular ac- tivities. Rod Peterson, president, Donna Poppert, vice-presidentg and Warren Speece, secretary- treasurer were the officers elected to lead the class. Barbara Lantz, Rod Peterson, and War- ren Speece were student council representa- tives. Miss Sjogren, Miss Smith, Mr. Headberg and Mr, Keifer, the sponsors, helped the class with their many problems. The first big junior event was on November 20 when the three-act comedy, New Fires, was presented as the class play. The students next looked forward to county government day and last of all to the Iunior-Senior Banquet and Prom. Both instrumental and vocal groups had many juniors in their membership. Iunior boys contributed much to the cham- pionship football team. Sidney Schroeder and Zelia Peck were the cheerleaders representing the class.
