FRIENDS CF if-ACL wHo SERVE Q.-What growing organization helps to make our financial drives a success, to make the under-privileged of our city feel secure, and in general serves the students of Hirsch? A.-The Hirsch chapter of the P.T.A. Q.--Is the Hirsch P.T.A. a growing organization? A.-Decidedly, yes! Through the combined efforts of the member- ship chairman and the new room representative, the mem- bership has increased from three hundred and twenty-five to four hundred and eighty-seven in the past year. Q.-In what financial drives have they assisted us? A.-They have made generous contributions to the Thanksgiving Fund, the Red Cross drive, and toward a scholarship fund. Q.-How have they helped to make the underprivileged of our city feel secure? A.-By collecting and distributing clothing, by giving financial aid to the Y.M.C.A. and the Montifiore school. Q.-In what other ways have they served the students of Hirsch? A.-They have contributed to the High School Council, the Student Aid, and to the ad department of the Maroon. These are just a few of the accomplishments of the Friends of Hirsch who Serve -our Parent-Teacher Association. P.T.A. Row 1: Miss McCahey.
