RCDCDIVI' I Want Muscles!!! Another aspect of extra-curricular life at Hink- ley is the weight room. Because the new pool was not completed, the grunts, groans, and sweat had been moved to the upper deck of the gym. All was not lost however, as several Hinkley lifters placed high in state and national powerlifting meets. These lifters have been paced by National Power- lifting Champion, Senior, Mark Harrell. Chris Thomas works-out hard on the military press. Derrick Trott builds muscles on the incline bench. James Kornse concentrates on tri-cep pullovers.

FRANCES WADDELL-- GYMNASTICS CHAMPION Frances Waddell says this was her best year ever and she hopes next year is even better. Frances was first interested in gymnastics at the age of ten, be- cause she would practice in her front yard. When she made state she felt like she had to work harder to be better, and she felt really good about her- self. Frances describes herself as a real out-going person, and very athletic. Frances likes to do gymnastics, run track, watch television, read, and travel. She thinks Hinkley is a real neat school. She had a very good relationship with her coach and her team be- cause they gave her a lot of support. After high school she wants to go into broadcasting. To top it all offl would say she 's a witty, smart, and neat person. She 's a nice person to be around, and a real great friend!!! Start at top left, and go to bottom right.
