Front row: tManagerj Roslyn Mari Foley, Tracy Chase, Leslie Hinton, Anne Corby, Anna Ummling, Liana we 2 Head coach: Mr. Keely Mr. Keeley wished to pay special tribute to the freshmen on the sophomore team. Those girls were: Anne Corby tleading scorer with 14 poin tsj, Anna Umling Cpoint guardl, Laura Picon U2 pointsj, Heidi Crabtree C18 reboundsj and Mary Foley who is now on the JM team. l The sophomore girls basketball team did very well this year with a record of 10-1 , with the only loss from Littleton in a free throw con- test. They had some trouble with Rangeview, Gateway, and Fairview but came through to be it-L3 in the Centenial League. Most valuable players wer sopho- mores, Liana Holloway, Leslie Hin- ton, Tracey Chase, and Sye Light- foot. Liana worked hard in practice, always 10071 in games and had a great attitude. Leslie was the leader of the game and point guard. She was the second highest scorer. She was co-captain and gave 10095 al- ways. Tracey was also the co-cap- tain. She set a great example for the rest of the team. When the chips were down, Tracey came through. Sye was considered the scoring machine She was possibly the best offensive player in the league. .iv The team had an excellent season with a 16-2 record. They were Cen- tinial League runners-up. They had a young team but they played with poise and agressivness. The team was lead by Marla Caviness, Kelly Bean, Annette Becker, and Katie Meier. Coach Harris is looking for- ward to a good season next year, as all but four team members will be returning.
