Pictured below is the cake the council served to Mr, Sharkey at a party given in his honor in appre- ciation for his being such a good sponsor. The council also presented him with a record album and a desk set. Student Council has been quite active this year. On the tirst day ot school, Student Council members acted as guides for newcomers to Hinkley Student Coun- cilsponsored a Howdy dance on Sep- tember 3 tor everyone to get acquainted. This year's theme ot Homecoming was quite unique- Mod Madness and the members took great pains in decorating with colors such as pink and purple. Stu- dent Council sponsored the Calendar Girl Contest and also put on a winter formal- Babes in Toyland. Student Council members also sell concessions as shown at the picture at the right. Once a month tive members attend a Centennial League Stu- dent Council meeting in order to compare notes and gain new and dit- terent ideas from other schools in the Centen- nial League. x Secretary, Jerry Dahl, President, and Jan Munsenreder, Treasurer.
