For 35 years the Hinds Community College Hi-Steppers have represented the College and the state throughout the nation. Designated by the Mississippi Legislature as Good Will Ambassadors for the State, they have performed at all major bowl games, as well as at such events as the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto, and at the Worlds Fair in New York and in New Orleans. Also, performing at the annual Neshoba County Fair and the New Orleans Mardi Gras has been a tradition for 25 years. They were pictured in the National Geographic while performing at the 1979 Neshoba Fair.
