A Decade of Service After completing five years as Presi- dent of Hinds Junior College, Dr. Robert M. Mayo has become one of the most respected junior college presidents in the state. His outstanding achievements coupled with his individual accomplish- ments have progressed Hinds ' outlook toward the future. Ten years ago Dr. Mayo brought to Hinds an impressive record of leader- ship. As others of these honors have since materialized to lengthen that rec- ord, president Mayo has made plans for Hinds and has had the determination to make those plans reality. With this man ' s capabilities and sincerity, Hinds continues to reign as Mississippi ' s most progressive junior college. Dr. and Mrs. Mayo have celebrated their tenth anniversary at Hinds, five as its president and first lady. Dr. Mayo is pictured with two former presidents of the college, George M. McLendon who served from 1938 to 1965, and G. J. Cain who served from 1930 to 1938. 27
