Hinds Community College District miiiialiwiiiiuiua Hinds Junior College Raymond, Mississippi HE We ' re hurrying as fast as we can. I ' m a lonely frog. ' Who says we don ' t study: tfh « $ , Heads I win, tails you lose. I ' ll take a slice of each kind. ' But I didn ' t do it, Mr. Virden. ■ 3 m The Library, scene of many a victory over ignorance 8 iP 3:35 P.M. Friday: hungry little fishes, here I come! . DEDICATION A member of the first class to graduate from Hinds Junior College, Miss Allen has not been far from the heart of the school and it is sure that the school has not been far from her heart. As registrar and business Secretary for nearly thirty years she has operated on sound business principles and though never in the classroom, she has taught good money manners to many generations of students. Because we appreciate her strict adherence to principles with no allowance for expediency, we, the Eagle staff, dedicate this issue to Miss Lola I. Allen, in receipt of thousands of dollars with never a penny lost. Eisenhower wrecked States ' Rights worse than Truman! ' Ah, spring! ! FACULTY ' It ' s all right with me, Coach, but what will Mr. Mac say? ' ' The body stays healthy if the life is healthy. WOMEN ' S ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION The objectives of the Women ' s Athletic Association of Hinds Junior College are to organize and to stimulate a wholesome program of athletic activities: promote competition that stresses an enjoyment of sportsmanship and character; and to promote leadership and understanding among our women. The point system of the athletic achievement has been adopted by the association. A woman is awarded a college letter when she earns fifty points: the college pin upon earning a hundred points. By this system, athletic awards can only be won by those who have participated in the majority of the interclass activities. The activities of 1956-57 were: Archery tournament, Tennis tournament, Field hockey, Speedball, Football, Basketball, Officiating, Badminton, Volleyball, Softball, Swimming, Camping, Bowling, and Rollerskating.
