FLAG COMMITTEE Full honors were given to our flag daily, weather permitting. by the members of the Flag Committee. The boys on this committee were Raymond Sakumoto. George Kumano, Elliot Koyanagi, Paul Misaka, and Roy Yonemura. ACCIDENT COMMITTEE Meeting a few times this year, the Accident Com- mittee decided how much money should be paid to students who were injured while performing some duty for the school. The board is made up of four teachers and three students. Heading the committee was Miss Scott. school nurse. The other faculty members were Mr. Nakamu- ra. Mr. Hisanaga. and Mrs. Finlayson, Sumie Hisana- ga. George Kadoguchi. and Samuel Sakamal-ti repre- sented the senior, junior and sophomore classes re- spectively. The committee's annual allotment of 15500 is ap- propriated from the funds realized from the sale of messenger service Christmas stamps each year. ELECTION COMMITTEE NVith loyce Miyamoto as chairman. the election committee undertook the difficult task of supervising the student body election. Among their numerous iobs were typing lists of eligible voters, printing the ballots. conducting the voting. and directing the election rally. where the campaign managers introduced their can- didates to the student body. The balloting on February 20, resulted in outright election of the president only. Consequently, a final election was held on February 23 to decide the rest of the student body officers.
