The administration staff, headed by our principal, Mr. Vivian Gaither, manages the difficult job of running Hillsborough smoothly and efficiently. Our assistant principal, Mr. lVayne Hamilton, is always busy supervis- ing activities of all descriptions while our deans, Miss lane Dowdell and Mr. Carl Hutton, watch over us, the students. A new feature this year is the guidance office. Mrs. Littlefield, a former biology teacher, Mrs. Wofford, who teaches secretarial practice and Mr. Douglas, who is in the social studies department, work hard to find the best place for each student. They give aptitude tests to de- termine the type of class each student should have, help plan the student,s course of study, provide career counsel- ing, and do just about anything that will be of assistance to Hillsborough students. We are grateful to these two groups, the adminis tration staff and the guidance staff, for insuring to u a smooth-running school, as free from snags as is human ly possible. M- 4 f ' p LQ 414'
