The Red and BIBCIC Although Yale has always favored The violet's dark blue, And the sturdy son,s of Plant High To the gold and black are true, We will own the lilies slender Nor honor shall they lack, Wliile the Terrier stands defender Of the dear old Red and Black. Through the three long years of high 'Mid the scenes we love so well, As the mystic charm to knowledge We vainly seek to spell, Cr we win athletic victories On the football field or track, Still we'll work for dear old Hillsboro And the dear old Red and Black. W'hen the cares of life o,er take us, Mingling fast our locks with gray, And our dearest hopes betray us, False fortunes fall away, Still we,ll banish care and sadness As we turn our memories back And recall those days Of gladness school ugh ,Neath the dear old Red and Black.
