The publication of the l9SS-'56 PANTHER marks the end of an out- standing year in the history of Hillcrest High School. Those activities, class projects, personalities, and class pictures which are included here record for us, as well as for future classes, our progress and accomplishments. It is my hope that Hillcrest students will leave the school re- membering their feelings of pride and unity which came when the student body worked together for the good of their school, that they can carry with them this same spirit, transforming it into adult obligations of citizenship in a democracy and determination to maintain their ideals, both morally and spiritually, that, by example, they will uphold stand- ards which will have a positive influence on others, that they will ful- fill their ambitions, that they will never lose the desire to learn, that they will,-as adults, lead full rewarding lives.
