For one to do so he would have to disregard a few facts. Fact: Ram gridders defeated a tough St . Charles team for the second consecutive year. Fact: The Ram eleven were rated in the top 20 of the states . Fact: The Rams were 2 points away from being the County ' B ' champs. Fact: The Rams finished with a 7-1-1 record. Fact: Time after time they overcame a size disadvantage and capitalized on their oppo- nents bulk with superior speed and execution . Fact: The Seniors have showed them the way. Now it ' s up to the underclassmen to carry on the Ram tradition- -winning . The cheerleaders of 1967-68 would like to ex- press their gratitude to all the students and parents of Hill-McCloy High for their spirit and enthusiasm they showed at the football and basketball games . This year ' s seniors, Sandi, Sharon, and Shelly would like to thank Miss Markland, our wonderful sponsor, for all the hard work and effort she has put into our squad. Although the team ' s record was 2 wins and 10 defeats, it was never-the-less a successful first year, The coach, Mr. Joe Daniels, from Moorhead State College, Minnesota, awarded letters to all boys who stayed out for the complete season . Placing in the conference meet were John Saly and Terry Wilson, 11th and 15th respectively. John Daly was awarded a trophy for being the team ' s most valuable runner. Although the Ram ' s basketball team has the unimpressive record of 2 wins and 14 losses, they have shown promise. All the Rams are looking forward to next year when all of the Junior lettermen will be Seniors . Many times this year they have gained a lead only to lose it through inexperience and over eagerness. Al- though Coach Beale has used many players in the forward spot, by next year the players should be settled down enough so there will be more consistency and an established starting five . Also next year will see several promising J. V. players out to win a starting role, this will induce spirit and a will to hustle . Next year will also bring back Frankie Feher, and this in itself is something to look forward to. (Coach Beale announces the starting line-up). Mr. Miheve, the celebrated coach last year, taught many things to his boys, while, of course, learning many things from them. Although suffereing few defeats, to the hands of minor teams, Coach Miheve has great plans for the future varsity team-- winning every ball -game and the championship!! Would you believe: J.
