Junior Play Just Ducky What makes teen-age girls do the things that they do? And what should be done about them? Betty Lou Maxwell and Bernadine Smith are acouple of problems, and there is just no way of stopping them. Papa Maxwell had just been chosen head of the citizens' Committee, because he had one of the finest families in the community. But it seems that Betty Lou and Bernadine chose this day to write a fake letter to a lovelorn column. The girls wait in anticipation for the evening paper. But the letter isn't published. Instead, the author, Miss Blayne, comes to call on Mama Maxwell and unfolds the story of Betty Lou's sad love affair. A newspaper reporter, sent to interview Papa Maxwell, is mistaken for the county marshal by the girls, and being fearful that Betty Lou will be arrested, they decide to plead insanity. Papa's reputation is at stake, and so is Betty Lou's future ---- she thinks! This fine cast was made up of M.. Davis, T. Horst, H. Harris, S. Trapp, B. Litch, K. Scharberg, D. Reinke, L. Schoenhard, I. Graham, and P. Collins. Senior Play Cupid in Pigtails Mabelle Adams, a pretty widow with three children, is under the financial supervision of bossy Aunt Dorthea Vanderford. The children-Todd, Gail, and Suzy-decide that the way to get rid of Aunt Dotty is to have mama get married. Each of the children has a different idea of iust who the number one man should be. But Suzy has her own ideas, and things really happen. This dynamic Cupid in Pigtails introduces a new prospect, gets rid of the old ones, and settles the love affairs of her older brother and sister to suit herself. She does this in a most unconventional method.
