Football The Highmore Pirates, under the direction of Coach Ferwarda, began the 1954-55 season with 31 boys reporting for practice. The Pirates finished 5th in their confer- ence with 2,2,1 conference record. The Pirates have six Senior lettermen graduating. They are: W, Klcbsch, D. Canode, B. Ellsworth, W. Cowan, P. Grable, and M. Wortman. In tying Ipswich I 3 to 13, the stalwart Pa rates ended the season of 1954-55 with a record of 4, 3, 1. The Pirates gained 1,847 yards offensively against their opponents 1,774, while they out scored the opposition 1 1 6 to 103.
