S. footballers turned in a season re- cord of 4 wins, 2 losses and 1 tie. The losses were to Pierre, an A school, and to Ipswich, C. S. D. champs. The boys played to a 0-0 deadlock with Faulkton on Pirate Day. There were twenty lettermen for '49, of which nine are seniors. With eleven lettermen back,seven of which were on the '49 starting eleven, the pros- pects for 1950 look very promising. Lettermen for 1949 are as follows: Seniors : Don Matre, Tim Volz,Edward Kusser, Fred Wemmering, John Melbourn, Eldon Gunderson,Gene McWeeney,Duane Gray and Jim Goldsmith; Juniors: Terry O'Brien, Kenneth Wainwright,Iyle Walker, Wayne Houdek,Clair Bedsaul and Victor Odegaard; sophomores: Mickey Sherer, Malcolm Gray, Boyd Beastrom, and Marvin Trabing; freshmen: LeRoy Tislau. 28 Co-captain Don Co-captain Buzz”
