Last June, Jim Martin, Dave Hill, and Jim Tcheng represented Highlands at Kentuckfs Boys, State held at Eastern Kentucky University. Ann Harding, Paula Richards, Mary jo Baumann, and Stephanie Bratton attended Girlst State at Morehead University These students were chosen by class rank. They spent their time learning about city, county, and state governments through lec tures, mock elections, and participation in a model congreSS. Citizens of Girls, State spent an exciting day at the state capitol, Tunie Hamel, Dave Abbott, and Jim Tcheng were the students Who represented Highlands on the Ifs Academic show this year This year they successfully made it to the semi-finals.
