School acTiviTies, in addiTion To The legal mini- mum requiremenTs, are conducTed by permis- sion of The Board. When we geT an exTra holi- day we can give our Thanks To Them. They consider The advisabiliTy oT school parTicipaTion DOF EDUCATION in various drives and War CollecTion Cam- paigns. They elecT our Teachers, principals, and superinTendenT, and see +ha+ The buildings and school grounds are well-kepT. Our Board is well represenTed in ciTy aTTairs. One member is appoinTed To serve on The CiTy Planning Commission and anoTher To The CiTy RecreaTion Commission, one or more members is selecTed To represenT The Board aT public gaTherings. This year The Board losT one member. Mr. Harold STeinhauser wenT To The Army. To Till his place came Mr. Alvin Miller who worked wiTh The regular members, Mr. Randall STegeman, lvlr. T. B.
