Page Completed by Mona Johnson Intramurals Increase Involvement And Spirit , P y 4 5 MM ,I l 1978 was a year of expansion for th Highlands intramurals program. Intramu rals were sponsored by the Student Coun cil and aided by Mr. Biggers and Mr. Gar cia. The intramural sports included soc cer, ping-pong, and tennis in addition t X the established programs of basketball, volleyball and softball. Clubs and classes entered teams in the various programs for a time of competil tion and fun. The sports taught students and teachers that competition can be fun. The soccer tournament was won by the German Club. The History Club won the volleyball competition. Paul Hartman and' Debbie Montelongo took first place in the mixed doubles ping-pong tournament.
