OFFICE STAFF STRIVES Mrs. Faille, our attendance clerk, checks the absentee list. A busy beehive aptly describes the main offices of Highlands. Working in these offices are -the school secretaries who can be described as iacks- of-all-trades. Checking attendance records, ex- cused and unexcused absences, as well as inter- viewing discrepancies and those who just cannot manage to get to class on time, are a few duties of the attendance clerk. Our registrar manages to keep busy by checking credits, transferring stu- dents, and compiling various scholastic records. Checking in and out all textbooks, selling tickets for all of the school sponsored activities, and typing and mimeographing the daily bulletins are some of the other tasks which keep the sec- retaries busy throughout the entire school day. Don't you think these people deserve your respect? l ,,,.,4.--A y-lirl ' Mrs. Malloy and Mrs. Dodd work hard to keep library running smoothly. Entering the library, Miss Lawrence glances back.
